Welcome to Kokoda Trust

The objectives of The Kokoda Trust are to:

• Work in partnership with the governments of Papua New Guinea and Australia to have the Kokoda Trail and its environs proclaimed as a National Memorial Park;
• Assist in developing a sustainable eco-trekking industry for the Koiari and Orokaiva people who live along the Kokoda Trail;
• Develop a Kokoda Bursary program for Koiari and Orokaiva students in partnership with the Port Moresby Grammar School;
• Provide educational support to schools along the Kokoda Trail;
• Provide health support for villagers along the Kokoda Trail; and
• Support sporting initiatives for the Koiari and Orokaiva people.
• Support post-graduate research into Australia's involvement in the war the Pacific; our relationship with PNG; and Melanesian culture.
• Establish a 'Custodian of the Spirit of Kokoda' campaign.
